The Avenue

Atlantic Avenue’s east end meets the ocean at A1A, and the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority describes The Ray as being in the Pineapple Grove Arts District, “just off Atlantic Avenue.” Delray Beach’s municipal beach flew a Blue Flag for environmental standards in 2026, WPTV reported, and USA TODAY 10Best readers voted it Florida’s best beach in 2024, 2025 and 2026, Central Florida Lifestyle reported.

Parking: on-street parking on downtown Atlantic Avenue has a three-hour limit and you can pay with ParkMobile, according to the City of Delray Beach. The city also lists public garages; rates rose in October 2025 under a pilot that was set to end in April 2026, so check current rates before you go.

Where to Eat

  • Le Colonial, 601 E Atlantic Ave, in Atlantic Crossing: French-Vietnamese cooking in a dining room that recalls 1920s Saigon, and a lounge, Haute Living reported when it opened in 2023. It serves dinner from 4 p.m. daily.
  • Elisabetta’s, 32 E Atlantic Ave: Big Time Restaurant Group’s two-story Italian restaurant, with about 200 seats, a bar on each floor and a Neapolitan pizza oven, New Times reported.
  • City Oyster & Sushi Bar, 213 E Atlantic Ave: seafood, a sushi bar, rotating East and West Coast oysters and an upstairs bakery, according to the restaurant.
  • Akira Back, 233 NE 2nd Ave, at The Ray: modern Japanese cooking with Korean accents from chef Akira Back, whose Seoul restaurant Dosa won a MICHELIN star in 2018, Boca magazine reported.
  • Bourbon Steak, 1000 E Atlantic Ave, at The Seagate: Michael Mina’s steakhouse opened in March 2025, Resident reported, and books through SevenRooms, according to the hotel.
  • Barcelona Wine Bar, 22 W Atlantic Ave: opened in January 2026 as the first full-service restaurant at the new Sundy Village, the Palm Beach Post reported.

No Delray Beach restaurant is in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Florida selection; Palm Beach County’s only star is Emelina in West Palm Beach, according to WPTV. Lionfish and Cut 432, both once on the avenue, have closed, and Empire Steak House has been announced for the former Cut 432 space, with no opening date yet.

Where to Stay

  • The Ray, a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel: 141 rooms in Pineapple Grove, opened in September 2021, with restaurants including Akira Back. It was sold in September 2024, REBusiness reported, and is listed in the MICHELIN Guide’s hotel selection.
  • The Seagate Hotel, Golf & Beach Club: 157 rooms and suites on Atlantic Avenue. It joined Marriott’s Autograph Collection on November 13, 2025, after a $55 million renovation that included an 8,000-square-foot spa, its golf course and a two-story beach club, Hospitality Net reported. The beach club is private; ask the hotel what access guests have.
